What is Intersectionality?
As a statewide community foundation, understanding intersectionality helps us better understand how women girls, and gender-expansive people in Minnesota experience life differently depending on their intersecting identities. Because there are no “one size fits all” solutions, the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota uses an intersectional equity framework to understand problems and solutions. This approach informs all of our community investments and maximizes our impact so that communities experiencing the greatest barriers are centered in solutions.
