Ripley Memorial Foundation Awards $73,150 in Grants Focused on Teen Pregnancy Prevention Efforts
The Ripley Memorial Foundation, a donor advised fund of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, has awarded $73,150 in grants to 10 organizations. The grant period is January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
Grantees:
Annex Teen Clinic (Robbinsdale) | $8,000 – To support comprehensive sexuality education in Northwest Hennepin County through community-based presentations.
Centro Tyrone Guzman (Minneapolis) | $6,720 – To support Latine LGBTQI youth through the Ráices Youth Development Program’s implementation of a two-year action plan.
Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio (CLUES) (St. Paul) | $8,000 – To support multigenerational sexual health education for Latinx families through the Sexual Health Education Program.
Division of Indian Work (Minneapolis) | $8,000 – To support the LiveIt! Teen Pregnancy Prevention Curriculum of the Division of Indian Work’s Health Services Program.
Family Tree Clinic (Minneapolis) | $8,000 – To support the Comprehensive Sex Education Program’s sex education in Metro area schools.
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (Minneapolis) | $8,000 – To support the Seeing and Exploring Life’s Future (SELF) Pregnancy/STI Prevention Program.
Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota (St. Paul) | $6,720 – To support completion of the Health Mentor Model at El Colegio Charter School in 2019.
University of Minnesota Foundation (Minneapolis) | $6,650 – To support the 2019 Minnesota Adolescent Sexual Health Report.
Way to Grow (Minneapolis) | $6,340 – To support the Dream Tracks Parenting Program, ensuring teen mothers gain effective parenting skills, avoid repeat pregnancies, graduate high school and work toward higher education and employment.
YWCA Minneapolis (Minneapolis) | $6,720 – To support the Contact Plus Program providing comprehensive sexual health education in Minneapolis Public Schools.
