Minnesota Menstrual Products in Schools Toolkit (MPST)

Minnesota Menstrual Products in Schools Toolkit

(PDF Version)

The Minnesota Menstrual Products in Schools Toolkit (MPST) is a practical guide for educators and school staff to support implementation of the state’s menstrual product access law. Our research helped identify current needs from schools, now supported by this content, that is grounded in established science and best practices in menstrual health and education.

This toolkit was built to support schools and school staff, but also aims to reach communities across all of Minnesota! Student researchers Kara Cowell and Mary Kenny worked through multiple stages of this project to bring the community voice to life in this work in partnership with the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota. They conducted 56 individual partner meetings, collected and analyzed over 250 survey responses, and conducted 15 in-depth school staff interviews around the state to inform these resources.

An MPST Google Drive contains appendix materials, additional file versions, and other resources that make it easy for school staff to print.
