Legislative Session Preview

During our upcoming 2024 legislative session, which begins Feb. 12, the Women’s Foundation will focus our advocacy on protecting and expanding access to reproductive health care and access in Minnesota.

Last year, Minnesota made historic gains in legal protections for reproductive health care and in investments to fund access across the state. We know there is more to do as Minnesota faces unacceptably high rates of maternal mortality, contraception and health care deserts across the state, and students with inadequate access to mental and reproductive health education.

We will share our data from the 2024 Status of Women and Girls+ in Minnesota report and the lived experiences of partners to press legislators to make systemic changes for racial and gender justice.
