Stay tuned for more details as we’re planning a virtual event for our annual Young Women’s Day at the Capitol.

Join the Young Women’s Initiative of Minnesota as we uplift, speak truth to power, and champion causes identified by the governor-appointed YWI Statewide and Mankato Cabinets.

Each year, Cabinet members come together to identify important social issues impacting young women across Minnesota. Then, throughout the legislative session, they meet with lawmakers, share their stories and urge legislators to take action towards meaningful change.

This event gives us an opportunity to raise our voices, influence policy, and advocate for a better, more equitable future. You’ll also be the first to learn about informative research findings included in the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota’s Status of Women’s and Girls report, released every two years in partnership with the University of Minnesota.
