About the Event

Join us to take a collective breath on Thursday, July 16, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – for our next in-person Community Connect. We’re inviting area movers and shakers to enjoy a collective wellness experience, create lasting connections, and share a meal from Francisco’s, serving up family-owned Caribbean flavors with love. Operation Metro Surge has impacted all of Minnesota, the crisis is not over. Communities are still trying to repair what has been lost, and we know that healing takes time and intention. To be sustainable, we’re offering space for reflection, gratitude, and joyful connections.

Crystal Lilya of Tonal Harmony Healing will lead us in a heart-centered meditation to ground us and share about her experience offering sound healing in the Twin Cities during Metro Surge. We’ll move into breakout sessions, share updates and ways to stay engaged, and Crystal will close our time with a sound experience.

“Recovery will take all of us, working together, to sustain this movement,” said Gloria Perez, president & CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota and a member of the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund (IRRF) coalition.

Community Connect is a biannual opportunity for grantee-partners, community organization leaders, and staff to network, share research, and resources, and deepen our connections between listening and grantmaking, policy, and narrative change.
