Today, the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota (WFMN) announced one new staff member and three staff transitions.

New Staff:

On February 11, Beyza Pierre joined the Foundation as the Wenda Weekes Moore Intern. She will support the Community Impact team and spend four weeks at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek, Michigan. Through the Reatha Clark King Fellowship and the Wenda Weekes Moore Internship Program, WFMN has engaged 36 women of color in all aspects of its operations, including evaluation, fundraising, grantmaking, and administration. The program also provides rigorous training and professional development opportunities.

Staff Transitions:

On February 11, Jamara Cheek, previously the Reatha Clark King Fellow | YWI Program Manager, became the Executive Assistant to the Vice President.

On February 18, Lizzie Nelson joined the Advancement team as Development Officer. Previously, Lizzie was Executive Assistant to the Vice President.

In January, Cynthia J. Zapata, previously the Wenda Weekes Moore Intern and a current WFMN Innovator, joined the staff in a full-time role as Community Impact Manager. In this role, Zapata manages the Foundation’s day-to-day programs and systems to advance the greatest community impact and will supervise the Wenda Weekes Moore intern.
