Where She Leads
Across Minnesota and around the world, women are leading – in community, in the workforce, keeping communities safe, creating art, caring for others, and advocating for equity and justice.

Through research, grantmaking to more than 200 organizations, and advocacy for policy change at the Capitol, the Women’s Foundation puts communities at the center of long-term solutions so that all people in Minnesota can thrive.
Anything is possible when we invest in women!
Leadership
Our Young Women’s Initiative strengthens pathways to leadership in Minnesota. Each year, the Young Women’s Cabinet advances a policy agenda grounded in gender and racial justice. They advocate by testifying, meeting with legislators, and organizing events at the Capitol.
Economic Justice
Our Routes to Rise Bus Tour was a powerful day of coming together with grantee-partners, community members, donors, and supporters to learn more about how the Women’s Foundation invests in economic opportunity, statewide.
Access to Health & Well-being
Our Reproductive Freedom Fund grants protect & resource organizations leading on the frontlines of health in Minnesota. Each grant includes funding for staff wellness and development. As the recipients of our inaugural Rest Up Awards share, investing in the people who care for our communities is critical to the sustainability of organizations.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
One-way WFM puts equity into the design of our programs and processes is through participatory grantmaking, which engages a community of collaborators across race and ethnicity, geography, and socioeconomic status in funding decisions.
Safety
Working upstream to build community safety for all Minnesotans is at the heart of our mission. As the host of the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund, a coalition of 32 philanthropic partners, WFM is providing rapid, community-informed funding to organizations responding to immigration-related emergencies and community resilience across all affected communities in Minnesota.
