Kim L. Stone Named Vice President of Advancement & External Relations of Women’s Foundation of Minnesota

Kim L. Stone joined the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota as Vice President of Advancement and External Relations on May 11.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kim Stone to the Women’s Foundation,” said Gloria Perez, President and CEO. “With her high degree of individual, institutional, and campaign fundraising expertise, Kim is poised to share the impact of the foundation’s investments across the state to create equal opportunity for women and girls.”

In this role, Stone will provide strategic direction and leadership for fundraising, resource development, strategic communications and marketing for the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota.

Most recently, Stone was Senior Vice President of Advancement and Innovation for Greater Twin Cities United Way, where she oversaw the strategy development and implementation of the organization’s fundraising and stewardship efforts to meet immediate and long-term goals.

“I am delighted to join Gloria Perez and the staff in advancing the imperative mission of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota. I have dedicated my life’s work to building community and removing barriers to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to achieve their full potential,” said Stone. “I am committed to working collaboratively to foster economic opportunity, safety, and leadership for all women and girls in Minnesota.”

A native of St. Paul, Stone holds a master’s in international business administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a BA in mass communication, with an emphasis in public relations from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
