Ensuring a Minnesota where doors to opportunity are abundant and open to all girls and women in every community, and pathways to prosperity assured.
YWI MN:

The Young Women’s Initiative of Minnesota (YWI MN) is a collaborative cross-sector partnership between philanthropy, community, nonprofits, businesses, government, and young women. The YWI MN will determine the needs, programming, best practices, policies, and research necessary to build the next generation of leadership and pathways to prosperity for young women of color and other young women (Greater Minnesota, disabilities community, LGBTQ), ages 12-24, facing the greatest disparities in outcomes.

GirlsBEST:

Girls Building Economic Success Together (girlsBEST) Fund is targeted to programs that increase the readiness of low-income girls to achieve future economic security through mentoring, leadership development, academic supports, and employment readiness.

Pathways to Prosperity (P2P):

Through P2P, the Women’s Foundation aims to create unrestricted pathways to economic security and prosperity for low-income women, women of color, and women in greater Minnesota. Through P2P, the Foundation awards grants to innovative programs at nonprofit organizations or community/technical colleges that focus on workforce development, wealth building, or entrepreneurship. Funded programs also focus on providing wrap-around support services including childcare, financial literacy, and transportation.

Ensuring a Minnesota where all girls and women are free from all forms of violence and can experience their homes, schools, and communities as safe places.

The MN Girls campaign to end sex trafficking in Minnesota through grantmaking, research and public education is focused on ending the demand, prevention, and training.

Through the Innovation Fund, the Foundation provides general operating support to organizations that drive gender equity in Minnesota. Priority will be given to organizations that ensure women’s safe and healthy lives.
