Vision Statement: We aspire to a day when women experience the world as a place of safety, and our media, policy makers, families and popular culture reject violence against them.

Outcomes:

Safe, affordable, livable housing is available to women experiencing domestic violence.
Media and advertising promote strong, positive images of women and girls.
Increased responsiveness of local, criminal justice and judicial systems, e.g. ensuring cultural and language interpretation services are available.
Promote community and cultural responses to ending violence.
Fully funded statewide network of services is available to women experiencing violence.
Trafficking of women is illegal and prostitution is recognized as an act of violence against women.

One woman in four has been abused during pregnancy.
In Minnesota, 13,000 orders of protection are issued annually.
50-60 percent of current welfare recipients have experienced violence at the hands of a male partner.
