LATEST NEWS | Request for Proposals for Social Change Fund Planning Grants

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Nov. 15, 2011

MINNEAPOLIS — Today, the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota issued a Request for Proposals for planning grants through its Social Change Fund. The application deadline is January 19, 2012. Planning grant awards totaling $100,000 will be announced in March 2012.

The planning grants provide short-term funding to support development of new project work or to increase the use of a gender lens within existing programming. The planning grants also help position organizations for multi-year Social Change Fund grants in Feb. 2013.

Through its Social Change Fund, the Women’s Foundation awards grants to Minnesota nonprofits seeking to remove barriers to equality for women and girls in their communities through “social change” – shifting attitudes and behaviors, or institutions and policies that limit women’s equality.

All applications MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE by 5:00 p.m. on January 19, 2011. Applications mailed to the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota will NOT be accepted.
