MINNEAPOLIS - The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota announced today a statewide Request for Proposals for planning grants from its girlsBEST (girls Building Economic Success Together Fund.

The Foundation established girlsBEST in 2001 after a listening tour in 14 Minnesota communities. Through the girlsBEST Fund, we make grants to programs that increase the readiness of girls to achieve future economic well-being with a focus on underserved and underrepresented girls.

As part of your application, you must submit (attach) a project budget and narrative form, and WFM Diversity Survey form:

2. Project Budget and Narrative Form (MS Word)

3. WFM Diversity Survey Form (MS Word)

Helpful Tip!

We've learned from our past grant applicants that losing online proposal drafts happens with some regularity due to computer crashes or other unforeseen technical snafus. (Evil computer gnomes?) As we all know, it's a uniquely awful feeling!

A surefire remedy -- especially since we have no way to retrieve what you've lost, unfortunately -- we strongly suggest that you "copy-and-paste" your application answers into the online form from another document (such as Microsoft Word) to avoid losing your work if a computer crash happens, or if you choose the "Save and Finish Later"-option to work on your online application in phases.

Good luck and thank you for your interest in applying for a girlsBEST Fund planning grant from the Women's Foundation of Minnesota!
