LATEST NEWS  |  2009 Request for Proposals for Northwest Minnesota Grant Program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: JULY 1, 2009

MINNEAPOLIS - The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota issued today a Request for Proposals for grants through its Northwest Minnesota Grant Program. The average grant will be between $5,000 and $20,000 and last for one year.

Eligible applicants must be located in one or more of the following 12 counties: Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, and Roseau. Priority will be given to applicants from Roseau County.

The Foundation seeks proposals from nonprofit groups, programs and projects that serve women and girls, and either creates economic justice for women and girls or advances women’s safety and security.

All applications must be received by the Women's Foundation of Minnesota by 5:00 p.m. on September 1, 2009.


To apply, please download and complete (electronically, directly into Word document) the following two (2) documents:

1. Guidelines and Application Instructions (MS Word)

2. Project Budget Plan (MS Word)


How to submit your application:

BY EMAIL. Email applications are PREFERABLE. You may email a Word or PDF document to charlotte@wfmn.org. If possible, please scan (and save as PDF) and include (with your emailed application) as many documents as possible, such as samples of work, etc., that support your proposal.

You will receive an email confirmation. If you do not receive one, your application has NOT reached us; resend or send via regular mail. Please do NOT send duplicate copies of your application by email AND regular mail.

BY U.S. MAIL. You may U.S. Mail us your entire application, and copies of as many documents as possible that support your proposal, such as samples of work, etc., to the following address:
